Projects in Vismo have a primary owner. Ownership can be transferred to another organisation for billing and ownership purposes. Here’s how the process works:

Initiating a Project Transfer

Step 1: Go to the project settings
Navigate to the settings of the project you want to transfer.


Step 2: Enter the recipient’s email address
Provide the email address of the user you want to transfer the project to.

Note: The recipient must:

  • Be part of the project

  • Have an admin role


Step 3: Confirm the transfer
Once you’ve entered the email, confirm the transfer to start the process.


Optional: Cancel the transfer
If the transfer is still in progress, you can cancel it by clicking Cancel Transfer in the project settings.

Receiving a Project Transfer

Step 1: Check your email
The recipient will receive an email notifying them of the transfer request.


Step 2: Ensure organisation membership
The recipient must be a member of an organisation to accept the transfer.


Step 3: Go to the project
Navigate to the project in Vismo. If it’s in a transfer state, a banner will appear at the top of the project page.


Step 4: Review the transfer
Click View on the banner to see the transfer details. You can then choose to Accept or Reject the transfer.


Step 5: Finalise the transfer
If accepted, the project will now be owned by the recipient’s organisation.
