Exploring your 3D data in Vismo is simple and accessible to all! Our viewer works the same way for both 2D and 3D files, making it easy to switch between views and combine different types of data all in one place.
Supported 3D File Types
3D Models: OBJ, GLB, GLTF
Point Clouds: LAS and LAZ
BIM: IFC
3D Tiles: 3D data formats (e.g. B3DM, PNTS, GLTF)
How to View Point Clouds
Point clouds can get big. We process LAS and LAZ files for more efficient viewing in your browser.
Step 1: Navigate to your file and click the View File (magic wand) button to start processing.
Step 2: The progress will be shown, and you’ll also receive an email once processing is complete.
Plan limits: On the Free plan, point cloud viewing is limited to 100MB. Paid plans allow you to view much larger point clouds. See Project & Data Limits for more info.
How to View 3D Tiles
Vismo fully supports 3D Tiles. To view them:
Make sure the tileset is zipped up.
Upload the ZIP file.
The root of the ZIP should contain a tileset.json file.
Click the View File (magic wand) button to start processing.
The progress will be shown, and you’ll also receive an email once processing is complete.
How to View 3D Models
Viewing 3D models (for example, OBJ files from photogrammetry output) is supported. The file will be processed automatically to ensure smooth performance.
