Copy a Project

Need to take your own copy of a project? Vismo makes it easy to duplicate a project and get started with your own version.

How to Copy a Project

You can start a project copy directly from the Project List on the Vismo home screen or Organisation Projects. Look for the options menu next to each project.

Step 1: Go to Vismo Home or Organisation Projects to your project list

Step 2: Select "Copy Project" from the options menu
Step 3: Choose what you want to include in your copy:

  • ✉️ Copy Files: Includes all project files and folders

  • ⚙️ Copy Settings: Includes project details like address, status, and other metadata

Note: Project users are not copied, so you'll have full control over who to invite to your new project.

The copy process runs in the background. You'll receive an email when it's complete. This usually happens quickly, but may take longer if there's a large amount of data.

Ownership & Access

If you're not the original owner, the copied project will be placed under your organisation. You'll become the admin of the new copy and can manage it independently.

Alternative Options

Want to copy only specific data rather than the entire project? Use the Copy Data feature available directly within a project.

Copying a project is ideal when you want to reuse a project structure or archive a version before starting fresh.
